I deadass don’t care at all about the author being straight.
Like all these posts about “problemawtic” parts of Simon vs the homosapien agenda ….. WHO CARES….. I don’t care. That woman is an ally and wrote a nice book that helped out a lot of kids. Who cares if she’s straight! I wish my straight mom would write a 300 page book about a boy getting a boyfriends like wtf. This whole “people should only interact with their own identies” is extremely bad politics and weirdly comes from the same type of people who preach intersectionality above all.
