A 16 year old girl suffering from depression walked into an Iowa hair salon, Capri Waterloo salon, with tangled, matted locks, with one request, she told stylist Kayley Olsson to “just cut it all off.”
Olson immediately noticed that lack of personal hygiene and self-care is a serious symptom of chronic depression and she decided to help.
