call me by your name (2017) –somewhere in northern italy, summer 1983.
“when i think back to our last ten days together, i see an early-morning swim, our lazy breakfasts, the ride up to town, work in the garden, lunches, our afternoon naps, more work in the afternoon, tennis maybe, after-dinners in the piazzetta, and every night the kind of lovemaking that can run circles around time … all i prayed for was for time to stop. let summer never end, let him never go away, let the music on perpetual replay play forever, i’m asking for very little, and i swear I’ll ask for nothing more.”
I mean, Elio is the freshman at first he’s kinda nervous and uncertain, he meets this handsome junior/senior hunk that he immediately feels like being electrified, but he’s seems unavailable and so far away, so nothing really happens between them. With time passing, Elio becomes more confidence and does well, he ends up becoming everyone’s darling, hooking up with girls but never serious. One day thing finally changes. That guy he kinda has been in love with suddenly isn’t that distant and unavailable anymore, so he makes a move.
