As usual, the series uses imagery that has some wonderful symbolism. A butterfly is a tiny thing that starts out vulnerable and preyed upon (a caterpillar), seeks safety to be able to grow (a cocoon) and emerges as something lovely that can take flight (a butterfly).
Anne herself starts out vulnerable and preyed upon (an orphan), finds safety that allows her to grow (a family) and eventually emerges as something wonderful (an imaginative and more confident young woman).
This season is about about her growth. So her finding kinship with a set of butterflies is a lovely visual parallel ❤
This is your casual reminder that yes, your wip is worth writing. You’re not wasting time. Creativity is never a waste.
Thomas: This date is boring.
Jimmy: This isn’t a date. I said I was going to the store.
Thomas: Then why did you invite me?
Jimmy: I specifically said ‘don’t come with me‘ and you said ‘fuck you Kent. I do whatever I want‘ and followed me here.
keep your hands off!
I love how they incorporated this modern topic into the series and made a statement with it! So smart!
you tell them, anne!
You look lighter.
This was such a beautiful scene, you can see Aunt Jo’s shoulders sag in relief (?) in the second gif and I think it’s really well done!
Thank you for sharing that with me.
