ugh i feel silly writing this because i think about it so much… timmy and armie as ‚dance partners‘ in the film felt so right, and i wonder if timmy feels more comfortable with a partner who can overwhelm him, who he can sit on rather than have a smaller person straddle him or some shit. he was probably used to being the tall guy before he met armie. it doesn’t have to relate to sexuality, but i hope straight guys aren’t missing out on a feeling they might like cos they think they should 1/2

(2)be a dominating partner, the one who holds the woman/smaller person. I can’t describe it because every role in every relationship differs, but i think even straight guys might like to be the ones who get picked up or get to ride someone else sometimes? I don’t know maybe most people do this but we just don’t see it on screen. i get the impression armie’s takeaway was embracing being the softer one in a relationship too

Good points nonny. There’s nothing wrong with straight men (or men in general) learning that it’s ok to be the more submissive one–that it doesn’t make you less ~manly, and that it can also be good and healthy and fun.

I agree with all of this.

Also my version of Timmy shared that same sentiment in this little fic. *shameless self promotion*

Being tall himself it’s not easy to find someone who is going to make him feel overwhelmed.

Cue Armie who makes Timmy look like a precious little doll. (also any excuse to reblog this precious pic)

I don’t know what anyone said in this thread, I can’t read for the tears in my eyes because of the poignant perfection of that photo 😢😢😢

Every thing in this thread! I’ve always been wondering if he likes being overpowered, he is surrounded by tall people.
