probably my favourite thing abt p&p 2005 is where, especially in scenes where there’s a lot of dialogue, it’s shot in an almost sitcom style, zooming in on people’s expressions for their reactions and cutting between exchanged looks etc with handheld camera. it’s such a modern way of storytelling which most period dramas wouldn’t dare attempt bc they’re pretentiously trying to cling to posterity with their graceful steadicam But honestly it’s so good!it doesn’t even matter if the acting is bad the characters motivations are clear and the scene and regency jargon becomes way more entertaining and understandable to us as a contemporary audience!
